Meet Adam Solomon
Adam Solomon is a trumpet player, composer, arranger, band leader, and teacher born and raised in Maryland. Adam began playing his fathers trumpet at the age of nine after being inspired by Clifford Brown’s recording of Easy Living. He is well-versed in jazz and classical trumpet performance, as well as composition and arranging for small and large jazz ensembles.
Adam has performed at the White House, the Kennedy Center, Dizzy’s Club in New York City, and the Black Cat Jazz Club in San Francisco. He has also had the honor of performing an original composition at the Detroit Jazz Festival. Adam has shared the stage with acclaimed artists including Terell Stafford, Jeff Hamilton, and D.C.’s Queen of the Blues, Carly Harvey.
Graduating from University of Michigan, Adam earned degrees in Jazz Trumpet and Environmental Policy. Outside of music, Adam has a passion for climate resilience and aspires to make a positive change on and off the stage. At Michigan, Adam studied under mentors such as Kris Johnson, Bill Lucas, and Robert Hurst.
